Bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways: We've got you. Poplight fits your vibe and can be reinstalled as many times as you need. Here's a quick guide for the ideal height for wall sconces in every room, helping you achieve that gorgeous, cozy vibe with layered lighting.

Living Room: In the living room, wall lights are often used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Ya know, somewhere you can just melt away and watch 5 hours of Drag Race. For general ambient lighting, mount Poplight at eye level, approximately 5 to 6 feet above the floor. If you want to highlight artwork or a focal point in the room, consider placing Poplight a bit higher, but still within eye level range.

Dining Room: Wall lights in the dining room are often used to complement the main overhead light (note: not a certified big light but still). Install Poplights at approximately 5 feet above the floor, or slightly higher, to avoid glare and provide a warm, ambient vibe during frozen pizza dinner night.

Bedroom: For bedside Poplights, take into consideration your bed frame or headboard, as well as the height of your bed. Most bedside wall lights are mounted at chest height or porportionally to the bed frame and height. 🔥 Old school wall sconces need to be turned on and off using a button on the fixture, but with the Poplight app, you can turn off your Poplights or set a timer to turn them off using the Poplight app.

Bathroom: Wall lights are often placed on either side of the mirror to provide even and shadow-free lighting around the sink. Mount Poplights at eye level so the light is flattering and your GRWM videos will go viral. 💥

Hallways and Entryways: Wall lighting in hallways and entryways can take this party from 6 to midnight. Mount hallway and entry way Poplights between shoulder and eye level. Consider the height of your hallway when you apply Poplight, too.

Home Office: Consider your desk setup and where you focus best in your work space. If your work requires a computer screen, mount Poplight above the screen to eliminate any shadows.

Kid's Rooms: For younger kids, we recommend keeping Poplight out of grabbing distance. 👩‍👩‍👧 But as your kids grow up, Poplight can be adjusted as they move from crib to kid's bed to to full grown bed.

Remember that these are general guidelines and you should experiment to find what you like best. You should also consider where your home doesn't get much natural light and prioritize Poplight for those spaces.

No matter what you choose, you can remove Poplight in seconds and try a new height. (See how below! 👇) But keeping this helpful guide in your back pocket while you decorate your space will provide you some interior design basics as you add ambiance with wall lights.
